University of Florida Microbiology and Honors student and Florida Opportunity Scholar, Ericka Kirkpatrick is the 2012 recipient of the American Society for Microbiology Undergraduate Research Fellowship. The Fellowship (co-sponsored by the University of Florida Honors College) will offer Ericka an opportunity to test the role of Salmonella virulence genes in the interactions with vegetables.
